Good idea though
Not really made too much progress with the second fundraiser - been a bit preoccupied. Are we still wanting an accoustic night? Do we still need one for that matter, do we have any further word from the Alumni?

Hey!
I've got 4 exams beginning tomorrow. After the 21st (my last one) I'll get in touch with the Alumni and find out when we'll find out about funding.
I think an acoustic gig is a good idea but I don't remember the dates we agreed on and stuff sorry... been a bit preoccupied as well.
A meeting at the end of next week would be good.

I think we need to know what the chiefs have got in terms of stories, when the next event is and what we need to do for it and of course the alumni situation. The rest of us are sort of left thumb twiddling until we know this stuff x

Hi folks, sorry I've been off the radar recently - haven't been using the internet much this week.
Anyhoo, we can't print anything with the funds we have just now. We need 512 plus change to print 300 copies of non-colour. I can't remember if I said last time we met, but I've kept the colour printing on the alumni form in the hope we get the top estimate and we can use the extra 800 to run the launch night.
Also we don't need to get back in touch with the alumni, I've kept up to date with them and they will let us know by the 20th - or that is what their last message stated anyway. So, Monday might well be a useful day to meet up and hopefully they let us know in the morning.
Stories wise, we are still where we were with the draft. I have met a couple of people at the Scotia Bar Writing Competition that said they were interested in submitting stories. I also forgot to send Melissa a couple of poems from Mary McDonnough (sp?) which I will pass along over the weekend.
I can meet Monday between 12-2, I'm working at 3 in Charing Cross though so would need to sharp.

Won't be able to make friday, I'm working full time so I need to know in advance what day were meeting if I'm to make meetings. But anything that needs done please give me a shout!

Bad news, just spoken to Claire who has said our application for alumni funding has been rejected.
However, this isn't the only alumni funding we can get and Claire is going to work on a new proposal which incorporates next years (potential) journal - they want to see that it is going to continue before funding us, but said it wasn't out of the question. Sure Claire will fill you all in better than this...
Anyway, I reckon it would be good for at least a small group of us to meet Friday to work on another fundraising night - Kat updated me - we do have enough money for printing thanks to a donation. However, I think it would be good to have some extra cash for either promotional materials, or a booze budget.
What do you all think?
