Hey folks, so I thought I'd put forward that I'd like to take the initiative with contacting various companies, groups, institutions etc (ie. the Art School, just for an example, if we do decide on artwork) in the role of Communicatons Officer. Also depending on what medium we decide to publish on whether website, or book, I know a Glasgow publisher that may produce our book for cheaper than others would.
i don't know how extensive this role would be (could end up being loads of work, or leave room open to do other things) so building on what Dean said about finding out what people can do, I could probably help with the technology side of things also: I'm a web content writer, and have had to do some building behind the scenes stuff too. Aside from that I've set up an event at the union before, so fundraising events isn't something i'd shy away from either.
Conclusion
:Communications Officer is the main role I currently want to do, but I'd be happy with helping in other aspects as well. May as well put it out there, and find out what everyone else is thinking in terms of roles!
