I'm the same as you Melissa, I really really like 'elapse'!!! and 'flux' too for the same reasons.

In terms of short, snappy and memorable, my gut feeling says its "Elapse". I think a title might emerge as we see the themes of the stories emerging though.

I agree, Tony! It'd be good to have a rough idea of it now though.
"Transfiguration" comes to mind too.

I like tide, I think there's a lot with the design you could do with that

in the same vein as 'rush' and 'tide' and the idea of shifts and movement what about 'current'....also obviously is on the basis of time and aludes to the contemporary, up to date element we want in the journal

I like Rachel's idea of current, only problem is it might be misleading slightly if there are pieces in the journal that are historical, cos current suggests 'up to date' as well as its meaning related to time? Although this could maybe work in our favour if we feel we can write pieces that will always be current? Not really sure what I'm trying to say apart from I like the title idea haha!

"Current" is good, but I think it sounds more suited to a news/journalistic thing because when I think of "current", I immediately think "current affairs".
I still really like "Flux", haha!

I still quite like Flux too it's got quite a nice strong sound to it.

Plus it has an x in it - words with an x in them are so much cooler than words that don't have x in them
