Hello. I know we're going to talk about this more on Thursday, but thought I'd just put up the bullet points Lucy made this afternoon about what all the different roles entail/what we need to think about in our groups. Would just be useful to have a record of them online as I'm sure not everyone got a chance to write them down.

Roles for the journal include (but are not limited to):
Editors:
- need to decide who is editing whose writing
- need to decide which editors are going to specialise as 'proof-readers'
- need to decide on submission deadlines
- need to decide on the deadline for the second edits
- will be involved in editing the blog
Design team:
- need to design the artwork
- need to contact the printers for information (pricing etc)
- need to develop a "house style" (images, fonts, colours etc) to be used in journal, advertising, online presence etc
- will be involved in designing the website and/or blog
- need to decide whether we're having a logo
Marketing
- need to develop a publicity plan
- involved in setting up social media (e.g. Facebook, twitter, tumblr, instagram etc) and maintaining an online presence
- involved in maintaining the website and/or blog
Fund raising
- need to open a bank account
- need to contact alumni fund
- need to decide/contact venues for events
- need to sort out prices
- need to organise events
