So a couple of possible networking events coming up if folk are free. I'm gonna be pretty busy with essay deadlines next week so won't be able to make Word Play but if anyone else is free I think it would be cool to go round there listen in and get chat going about our wee journal.

Thurs, 7th March, 8 til late - Word Play by Word Factory at the Victoria Bar at the Tron Theater. The theme this month if that influences any of you thinking of going is 'New World Order'. Info here - www.wordfactory.org.uk/WORD_PLAY_Dates.html

Wed, 13th March, 7.30pm til ? - Weggie Wednesdays at the CCA. Guest speaker this month is J David Simons. Normally there are two guest speakers so there's an even bigger chance to network this month! If it's the Write it! thing then it's looking for scripts etc. - not sure if anyone wants to submit anything (must be done by the 12th so the actors can learn their lines) then they'll be played out on the 26th

Still I figured I'd pop along - I'm going to ask if I can put up one of our band night posters there too.

Hey folks, so I'm going to get my ticket for the Gutter event at the Mitchell on 15th april, and also the launch of Rodge Glass's next book at the Rio Cafe on May 10th. You need to be on a 'magic list' for this one though, so if anyone else wants to come let me know
