Yup, they can 'flux' plenty with our future event!

Also really liked 'for flux sake' for events. Thought that was a funny one xD

I'm working next Friday evening so I won't be able to do the big band night - I haven't contacted them yet though. I think "piggybacking" is a good idea but a little difficult to arrange in a week. I think the way we're going to make the most money is with a raffle and guess the... games which we should have in place before we do any events like this.
On another note I was wondering how folk would feel about contributing just a tenner, in the beginning at least and see how far that gets us.
To save us money I'm more than happy to do the printing just need a ream of paper and possibly refunded a printer cartridge which is a couple of quid, so that's about £10 for a ream of posters/flyers.

Right, forget that last post.
20th March is off, but we can have the 19th instead. I've asked for this date to be booked, but in order to do this formally, Broadcast will need the following details:-
[/li][li] what we are calling the night [/li][li] which bands are playing and any further info.
I know it's not ideal, but it'd be great if we could decide on this today/tomorrow so we have something to show the promoter! Rachel, let me know if it you think it would be worth asking my friend's band (Deathcats) if they might want to play also - they;ve played Broadcast a few times, so I would imagine they'll draw in a crowd.

Update: 19th March is booked! Woop.
So, David, I'd suggest deciding on a promotional plan of action on Thursday (agenda) is in order.

So, we were talking about trying to find things for free that can go in the raffle -- my brother trains in a gym (Thai Boxing) and his trainer has agreed to give us two free tickets to a boxing match in Paisley if we want them. They're usually pretty popular and a good night, something different anywho. It's on the 30th March - kinda short notice I know considering when the band night is - so if that's no good then I can decline them

Forgot to mention it's in the Lagoon in Paisley, so pretty central

I think that sounds good. Quite a unique kind of prize.

I was thinking a prize for facebook likes might be an idea - i.e. like and share our page and you get entered into a draw for the tickets?

Was also thinking this. Just found a jewellery website that did this and thought that was a good idea for publicising ourselves!
